Learning Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our students' educational and emotional development, working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
  • Support students in managing their behaviour and emotions, promoting positive social interactions.
  • Collaborate with teachers to adapt and deliver engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of our students.
  • Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Foster a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, child development, or a related field (desirable but not essential).
