Our NHS Client is seeking a Divisional Director of Nursing so support their Cancer Services in Sussex for a 6 month initial contract.
You will work in partnership with the Divisional Director of Operations and Corporate Nursing leaders, and provide senior leadership for nurses and support staff, ensuring patients and staff are safe, cared for and listened to.
- Rate: £70 - £75p/h
- Department: Cancer Services
- Location: Across all Trust sites as required in Sussex
- Contract: 6 month initial contract with the view of extension
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 -17:00
About the role:
- Be a visible and credible leader, modelling and reinforcing the Trust values and behaviours at all times, celebrating success and acting as a proud ambassador for Nursing, Midwifery and AHPs.
- Take a lead role in specific nursing corporate projects and the management of specific nursing functions across the Trust's divisional structure, as agreed by the Chief Nurse.
- Lead on the development of service improvements across the division.
- You will be accountable for the divisional delivery of agreed Trust level nursing objectives, targets, and quality standards.
About you:
- Registered Nurse/Midwife, with a valid NMC Pin
- A comprehensive / specialist understanding of the safeguarding children and adults' processes.
- Considerable experience at senior nurse level (e.g. Matron) in an acute Health Care setting.
- Extensive knowledge of and experience in the operational management of hospital services.
