Payroll and Reward Specialist

Reed HR have partnered with a long-standing client in Crawley who are seeking an experienced Payroll and Reward Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis. The Reward & Payroll Specialist works in conjunction with the wider HR team to ensure they create an excellent experience for our people throughout the employee life cycle. This role coordinates and administers all processes relating to pay, reward and benefits and is the main contact for all related queries.

The Payroll and Reward Specialist will...

  • Designing their total reward approach, including reviewing their benefits packages and identifying new benefits to increase attraction, retention and the brand of the organisation.
  • Coordination and administration of all payroll activities.
  • Management of the Flexible Benefits scheme, including pension and benefits administration and responding to all employee enquiries
  • Salary benchmarking and reporting, including role grading, gender pay gap reporting and ethnicity pay gap reporting.
  • Inputting of monthly payroll
  • Post payroll actions including running payroll reports and distribution of commission slips
  • Regular monitoring of the payroll inbox and responding to pay related queries
  • Offer letters and contracts of employment
  • Reviewing benefits packages and identifying new benefits to increase attraction and brand of the organisation.
  • Reporting on the company's reward packages and pay.
  • Gender and Ethnicity pay gap reporting, including data preparation and report presentation.

The successful Payroll and Reward Specialist will have...

  • Demonstrable analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex spreadsheets and interpret & model data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Previous background in a Reward and/or Benefits position would be desirable.
  • Good influential skills, capable of advising and reporting on key topics.
  • Competent in the use of Word, Excel, Powerpoint and email systems.
  • CIPD Level 5qualification would be desirable
  • Valid driving licence and proof of right to work in the UK
