FP & A Analyst

My client, a leading player in the service sector is searching for a dynamic, part qualified or qualified accountant to work within their finance function as an FP&A Analyst. You will work closely with key stakeholders in this amazing PE backed business. The role is offered on a 6 month fixed term contract with a view to extending or perm.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is actively studying ACCA or CIMA or Fully Qualified to deliver insight-driven forecasts and budgets, and strategic support and assessment for the business plan.

FP&A Analyst responsibilities:

  • Ownership of consolidation of sales, margin and capex data for actuals, forecast and strategic financial plan
  • Financial modelling to elevate our clients FP & A capabilities to meet rigorous private equity standards to develop and define comprehensive debt modelling

Maintenance of the consolidated financial data, ensuring robust controls are in place to maintain the integrity and accuracy of the data

  • Identifying data source failures, understanding root causes and working with stakeholders on actions
  • Pro actively analysing the financial data to support FP&A reporting
  • Ad hoc support to the team as and when required with FP&A tasks
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to influence process
  • Pro-actively seek to identify opportunities for process improvements across financial data collection and consolidation, including critically reviewing and helping to deliver change in existing processes, models and deliverables.

Key Skills:

  • Part Qualified or Fully Qualified Accountant
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel skills and experience of managing and interpreting large complex data.

Financial modelling skills essential ideally in a PE backed business or digital marketing

Depending on experience, the successful FP&A Analyst can expect a salary of £40-65k. The expectation is the successful candidate will work one to two days a week in the Central Leeds Office close to all commuter links especially Leeds train station.
