Are you a Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking for flexible working?

Here at Long-Term Teachers, we are working with a number of Primary Schools in the BS31 area of Bristol who are looking for Higher Level Teaching Assistants to work throughout their KS1 and KS2 classrooms.

As part of this 2 form entry school in Keynsham, you will be joining an energetic, hardworking and welcoming team who thrive on motivating and encouraging their students to succeed in their development.

The Role

This role is a full-time position from September where you will be working with the Teachers of the school to support interventions and PPA cover.

The Head Teacher is looking for a candidate who will be happy to work throughout all year groups in the school, delivering pre-planned lessons and using your own initiative to adapt activities to meet the children's needs.

You will also be working closely with the Teachers to develop core subject interventions to support individual children with their personal knowledge of English and Maths.

You will be expected to:

  • Have a real passion for working with all Primary Aged children.
  • Be able to engage children in their learning.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with children, staff and parents.
  • Thrive on challenging children's abilities.
  • Have previous teaching experience and a great knowledge of the Primary Curriculum.
  • Have experience working with SEND children in the past.
