Job Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and proactive HR Administrator to join our People Services team based in Leeds.

You will join the team as a People Services Assistant and play a crucial part in offering frontline support and guidance to colleagues regarding employment contracts, policies and processes. By working closely with the People & Culture Operations team, you will manage daily administration tasks efficiently and accurately throughout the colleague lifecycle.

Your meticulous attention to detail will be instrumental in maintaining precise people data within our HR system, IRIS Cascade, thereby enhancing the experiences of both existing colleagues and new joiners.

In this role, you will actively contribute to the smooth operation of People Policies and Procedures, Payroll, Recruitment, Benefits, and Training & Development within our broader People & Culture division.

Whether you are an experienced administrator or launching a career in HR, this role promises exposure to various HR disciplines and opportunities for personal and professional growth.

In recognition of the importance of work-life balance, we offer a hybrid work model based at our Leeds office. Our team typically works in the office 1-2 days a week, making Thursday a key collaborative day for the People Services team.

Role Responsibility

  • Process, distribute, record, and resolve all people services transactions and contacts promptly, accurately, and confidentially.
  • Offer first line support and advice to colleagues regarding contractual and process-related employment matters.
  • Maintain precise people data in our HR system, IRIS Cascade.
  • Generate people metrics by running reports in IRIS Cascade to support data analysis.
  • Assist the People & Culture Operations team with a diverse range of HR tasks, including policy updates, document management, interview scheduling and contract creation.
  • Foster strong relationships with people leaders and collaborate effectively across various offices and departments.
  • Organise and manage colleague personnel files and ensure timely distribution of HR-related documents.
  • Contribute to monthly and annual HR processes such as payroll, salary reviews, and benefits.
  • Advocate for positive employee relations and cultivate a supportive community environment that prioritises diversity and colleague well-being.
  • Support assigned projects to ensure efficient and timely delivery while maintaining cost-effectiveness.

The Ideal Candidate

  • A graduate or minimum Level 3 CIPD, Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (or studying towards).
  • Demonstrated hands-on administrative experience in a HR capacity.
  • Ability to prioritise work and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Possess a proactive approach to work duties.
  • Keen understanding of current employment laws, best practices, contemporary HR approaches, and policies.
  • Familiarity with People and Culture and employee relations approaches.
  • The HR system we use is IRIS Cascade so, if you have experience using this software, that would be a welcomed bonus!
