Your Role:

As our Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll lead the charge in creating cutting-edge robotic solutions for automatic equipment. This role combines hands-on engineering with being the bridge between senior management and the mechanical engineering team. Your insights will drive the projects and business forward.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on Mechanical Development: Use AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor (3D) for mechanical drawings and tackle in-depth questions from your team.
  • Engineering Concepts: Work with project teams to develop mechanical solutions and push innovation.
  • Innovation Leadership: Assist senior management in managing projects that propel the company's growth.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and inspire the mechanical team to develop innovative solutions.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all designs are specified, released to high standards, and delivered on time.
  • Project Expansion: Manage external development teams for larger-scale solutions as projects grow.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • Experience with automation and/or robotic systems
  • Project management experience
  • Leadership skills with strong communication, interpersonal, and listening abilities
  • Positive and driven attitude
  • Consulting and service-oriented mindset
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to handle complexity
  • Assertive and unafraid to ask questions or make mistakes
  • Excellent English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience or affinity with dairy farming
  • Machinery directive compliance experience
  • Issue resolution and management experience
