Partner Financial are working with a retail business embarking on a substantial period of growth. The business is looking to appoint a Financial Controller who will play a crucial role in the success of business performance in the coming months as they continue to invest and strengthen their international presence.
The successful candidate will be reporting to the CFO, they will be liaising with operations across the whole business and will ensure that reporting is delivered accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading on all financial control initiatives for the division and ensuring there is a roadmap in place which plans effectively for future funding rounds and value creation.
- Ensuring all compliance and regulatory commitments are being adhered to.
- Owning the Governance framework and managing all audit obligations.
- Overseeing the production of the annual financial statements and ensure they are signed and filed to meet bank and regulatory deadlines.
- Overseeing transactional finance to ensure correct practices are being followed while monitoring key KPIs.
- Owning the operational cash flow, from investments to monthly financials.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Experienced Financial Controller with relevant industry experience, ideally in fast-paced matrix organisations.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills, comfortable challenging existing protocols, and comfortable influencing at all levels of the business
- Hands-on attitude and ability to reach objectives.
- SAP system experience desirable.
