Are you a natural leader with a passion for manufacturing? Our client, a renowned manufacturing company located in Gateshead, is seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Supervisor to join their thriving team.

**Salary: £32,500

**Shifts: **Monday to Thursday 7.30am -16.30pm, Friday 7.30am - 12.30pm

  • Proven track record of leadership skills and supervisory experience.
  • Ability to motivate and manage a team, ensuring they perform to their highest potential.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, allowing you to efficiently manage your own time, your team, and your workload.
  • Thrive under pressure and set deadlines, using your initiative to problem-solve and ensure smooth operations.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Strong people management and organisational abilities to drive improvement across all areas of the manufacturing sections.
  • Experience with power presses and welding (spot & MIG) is beneficial, though not essential.
  • A background in high-volume manufacturing, preferably with automotive experience, is advantageous.

**Your key responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the manufacturing departments, including Press Shop and Assembly.
  • Efficiently organising resources to meet daily build requirements, while maintaining expected quality, safety, and housekeeping standards.
  • Monitoring employee productivity, providing constructive feedback, and addressing any issues or discipline matters.
  • Assisting with employee inductions and training to ensure team members are equipped with the necessary skills for success.
  • Covering the responsibilities of Team Leaders during periods of absence or holidays.
