Technical Sales Representative
I am working with a leading specialist construction firm who are seeking a Technical Sales Representative to drive sustainable, profitable sales growth by establishing and expanding customer relationships within the construction, flooring, and building market sector.
The ideal candidate will be results-oriented, able to work independently as well as part of a team, and possess a strong commitment to success.
Day-to-day of the role as a technical sales representative:
- Conduct in-person visits and presentations to both existing and prospective customers to understand their business needs and close sales.
- Attend pre-installation site visits, providing detailed site survey forms.
- Prepare accurate quotations and proposals, including associated materials from sales data and on-site measurements.
- Regular attendance at the company office as agreed.
- Utilise metrics to support sales strategy and efforts.
- Promote, sell, and secure orders from existing and prospective customers.
- Establish and maintain business relationships to generate new business for the company's products/services.
- Negotiate and close sales by agreeing on terms and conditions.
- Create and manage a customer visit plan, updating and maintaining customer records within CRM systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications for the Technical Sales Rep:
- Proven experience in sales within the Construction/Flooring/Building market sector.
- Based ideally within the Midlands but happy enough to travel across the UK
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Competent use of ICT and CRM systems
- Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving with a consultative sales approach.
- Ability to forward plan, organise, prioritise, and willingness to travel.
- Ability to build effective working relationships and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.

- Salary based on experience £45-£50k
