IT Manager, Oxford, £45,000 - £50,000
My client is an incredibly exciting sports related company in central Oxford which due to natural growth, they now need an IT Manager to provide day to day support and provide strategic technical support to move the company forward.
I am looking for candidates who are highly engaged with the latest trends in IT infrastructure, architecture and security and enjoy being hands-on managing the day to day whilst able to think strategically.
This is a stand-alone IT Manager position so you will take responsibility for a wide range of issues and be leading a variety of exciting projects working closely with the Founder of the business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior IT Support, 3rd Line or Infrastructure Engineer to take their first steps into becoming an IT Manager.
You will:
- Manage and support our Windows & Mac desktop environments.
- Manage our Windows Server configurations
- Provide PC hardware setup & diagnostic experience
- Manage our Microsoft 365 / Active Directory set up
- Monitor and control our Networking, Firewall, VPN management
- Advise and implement CyberSecurity & compliancebest practice and policies
- Provide general software management (Microsoft 365, Adobe etc) and general troubleshooting support
Desirable skills & experience:
- Cloud based technologies including AWS & Azure
- JIRA, Confluence or similar workflow tracking, reporting and management tools
- Perforce or similar version controltechnologies
- Networking, Firewall, VPN management tools
- CyberSecurity processes & technologies
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant IT related field.
