A growing IPP working across Europe, is looking for the new grid connection manager to support the UK pipeline spanning of over 1GW in development stage. They have assets already in construction stages, with several more set to enter this stage in the short term.

For the last 20 years, this group has been on a steady growth path, experience 30% growth over the last years across the whole group. The now have over 20 offices globally, and a pipeline of over 2GW. They're at the forefront of the space, working in new technologies and priding themselves on their approach to new technologies.

They're looking to grow their EPC team, through the crucial addition of the Grid Connection Manager, to oversee technical aspects of projects from development stages through construction and into asset sale, operation and management. As the role does span across full project lifecycle, we are ideally looking for experience with execution phases of projects, but are open to various levels of experience on this aspect.

The main responsibilities to this role include:

  • Delivering renewable projects in the UK, adding input from a technical perspective, offering knowledge of grid connection processes and grid codes.
  • Managing and establishing relationships with ICPS, DNOS & TSOs, as well as other contractors along the project life cycle.
  • Working closely with contractors through to offer advice on grid connection agreements, as well as grid codes and procedures.
  • Working closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure projects run efficiently and to allotted timescales.
  • Site visits to collaborate closely with construction teams throughout execution stages.

There is flexibility to the position, so additional skills would be welcomed. Any work with execution stages of these projects would be highly commendable.
