The primary purpose of this role is to undertake all aspects of fee-earning work with the required skills and knowledge. The successful candidate will contribute profitably to the department and firm, ensuring its development aligns with the business plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct matters on behalf of clients professionally, ensuring service quality to protect against complaints.
- Comply with SRA and COLP/COFA Rules, and the firm's Policies and Procedures.
- Manage files to CQS Standard, maintaining accurate file management and using case management systems effectively.
- Utilise software such as Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word for various tasks.
- Supervise fee-earning work and manage support services, including para-legal/secretary/assistant supervision.
- Participate in marketing activities and contribute material for the firm's website.
- Ensure financial control through effective cash-flow management and billing procedures.
- Maintain clear and concise written communications, meeting all deadlines and responding promptly to calls.
- Attend file reviews, department, and staff meetings, contributing to continuous improvement.
- Stay updated with legal changes, engage in compliance training, and maintain professional standards and accreditations.
- Adhere to the firm's Equality and Diversity Policy.
