Your new role
As the technical architect for our client, you will be designing IT solutions that meet business needs. You are expected to (but are not limited to):
- Deliver high-level and low-level technical designs that meet business, technical, and cybersecurity requirements.
- Providing technical oversight for escalated issues, mentoring engineers on incident and problem resolution.
- Collaborate with business analysts and project managers to develop robust, scalable, and secure system architectures.
- Drive changes to enhance technology performance, availability, scalability, and flexibility while reducing complexity.
- Review, analyse, and approve project requests to ensure alignment with standards, principles, tools, and patterns.
- Lead brainstorming sessions to develop solutions for business needs or problems.
- Identify system enhancements to improve performance and IT security.
- Maintain professional development and expertise in emerging technologies and best practices.
- Provide clear briefs, presentations, and reports to clients and stakeholders on technical tasks.
- Ensure a full audit trail is maintained for all engagements and decisions.
- Support the Chief Technology Officer in facilitating conversations and events, promoting digital and technology capabilities.
- Recommend new technology patterns, standards, and guidance for implementation, ensuring architectural alignment with broader strategies.
What you'll need to succeed
- Eligibility to be security cleared or have active security clearance (i.e. British Citizenship or dual nationality) - You will not be considered for this role if you do not meet this requirement
- Ability to commute to their Milton Keynes office 3-4 days a week
- A blend of technical and enterprise architecture experience and have the communication skills to present these to key stakeholders
- Project and design experience in automation and public cloud migration
- Technical documentation skills (options assessments, technical designs).
- DevSecOps experience in CI/CD processes.
- Requirement Management experience
- Server/OS and network technologies experience (Hybrid Cloud, Gateways, PKI, Email, VMware, SASE, Cisco, Palo Alto).
- Public cloud design and migration experience (M365, Azure, AWS).

- £500 - 540 per day rate outside IR35 (via PSC/Limited Company)
