THE ROLE
An opportunity has arisen for a Production Operator at Pilkington Plyglass, reporting to the relevant Production Chargehand.
The purpose of the role is to be part of a production team specialising in producing high quality products in an efficient, safe, and timely manner.
The main responsibilities will be to:
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment in accordance with our H&S policy.
- Ensure all quality standards are adhered to and safe operating procedures are followed.
- Liaise with team members in order to problem solve and ensure continuity of production.
- Achieve the shift work plan and take corrective action when necessary, ensuring that all information is communicated through the Chargehand.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and support the implementation of any changes to procedures.
- Complete all relevant documentation in order that accurate records are maintained.
- Provide information to the Chargehand in order for them to act on any potential problems that arise.
- Ensure all operator maintenance regimes are performed and the appropriate documentation is completed.
