Our client, an esteemed Barristers Chambers based in Manchester, is seeking a talented HR Business Partner to join their dynamic team in a newly created role. Our client is a leading provider of legal advice and advocacy services, catering to a diverse range of clients nationally. With a commitment to delivering exceptional quality, they are highly regarded within the legal community for their expertise and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with senior stakeholders and managers, providing expert HR advice and guidance on a wide range of employment matters.
  • Support recruitment activities, from writing job descriptions to conducting interviews and making offers.
  • Manage employee relations, ensuring compliance with employment law and promoting a positive work environment.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, keeping up-to-date with best practises in the field.
  • Provide coaching and training to managers on people management practises.
  • Support the performance management process, including objective setting and appraisals.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to drive initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing employee engagement and well-being.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and changes in employment legislation, ensuring compliance within the organisation.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Generalist, preferably within a legal or professional services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and best HR practises.
  • Experience running recruitment campagins
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport at all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to effectively prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
  • CIPD qualification and evidence of continued development

Location:

This role is based in Manchester City Centre, conveniently located close to train and tram stations. The role is predominantly office based with the opportunity to work from home one day per week.
