An Outstanding Ofsted-rated primary school in Croydon is seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their Year 3 team for the upcoming academic year. This full-time position is ideal for someone with previous UK teaching assistant experience who is passionate about supporting young learners and contributing to their educational journey.
Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons for Year 3 students.
- Provide support to individual pupils and small groups, ensuring all students reach their potential.
- Help with the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
- Support the management of classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Assist in the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and other teaching assistants to enhance the educational experience for all pupils.
- Ensure the safety and welfare of all pupils, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a UK primary school is essential.
- Strong understanding of the Year 3 curriculum and teaching practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude.
