Financial Controller

We're delighted to be partnering with a Global Telecom Company based in Bedfordshire, who are currently recruiting for Financial Controller to join the team on a permanent basis.

What's on offer:
The role is 35 hours per week with flexible working and an excellent hybrid working set up. The annual salary is up to £70,000 per annum dependent on experience.

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant (CIMA or ACCA) responsible for managing the commercial finance function within the Healthcare business, as well as overseeing budgets, mergers and acquisitions, and forecasting.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Contributing to the financial strategic planning for the organisation
  • Executing the annual budget process and interim forecasts
  • Supporting M&A activity with analysis and forecasting as well as integration of new businesses within the group
  • Taking responsibility for monthly internal business reporting of relevant units including analysis, interpretation and documentation of monthly figures
  • Supporting commercial functions and deal reviews for large projects, validating financial information and ensuring accuracy for forecasting
  • Managing and mentoring the Finance Business Partner ensuring month end activity and ad-hoc tasks are completed to deadlines
  • Ensuring any European / Tokyo (RINGI) financial approvals are completed with accurate information
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement in financial operations, and support best practise in financial management

Experience required:

  • Fully qualified Accountant or equivalent
  • Experience in consolidating statutory accounts

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Line management - including training and development
