KCR Solutions are delighted to be working with this growing firm of Accountants based near Washington in their search for an Assistant Accountant. You will be involved in the day-to-day bookkeeping and preparation of clients VAT returns. The Assistant Accountant will be a key member of the Practice and good communications with clients is essential.
The key duties of the post are as follows:
- Preparation of accounts for Limited Companies and Sole Traders
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Maintaining bookkeeping records for a varied portfolio of clients
- Posting automatic feeds from banks, and reconciliation of client bank accounts
- Uploading purchase and sales invoices
- Reconciliation of clients' Debtors and Creditors
- General accounts duties as required
The Person
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in a similar practice role - essential.
- Good computer literacy, great attention to detail and well organised.
- Flexibility - ability to react and respond positively to changes in priority and workload.
- Ability to work using own initiative as well as being a team player.
- Ability to multi-task, good time management and work well under pressure.
This role is to be fully office based, hours are 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday
