Investment Director opportunity within an established mid-market private equity investor offering involvement in new investments, buy & build growth and value creation strategy.

A mid-market Private Equity Investor with a proven record of investing up to £50m into ambitious SMEs across several high-growth sectors. The firm has a unique focus on accelerating growth through M&A / Buy & Build strategy, tech enablement and use of data insights to expand customer bases globally and deliver strong growth and value at exit. Portfolio businesses all have a unique story and a focus on growth in UK and European markets.
The Opportunity
Joining the Investment Team as an Investment Director you will be fully involved in the execution of new investments, driving growth through buy & build and supporting the development and implementation of value creation strategy across platform investments. You will work closely with Investment Partners internally and with Board & Management Team members throughout the lifecyle of portfolio investments.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities and leading potential investments through IC processes
- Supporting Partners in executing the firm's investment strategy, playing a key role in Value Creation within portfolio companies
- Working closely with Management Teams to execute buy & build growth strategy
- Handling follow-on / bolt-on acquisitions, overseeing key aspects of transaction processes
- Building effective working relationships with advisors, introducers and management teams

The Person
You will be a Private Equity Investment professional able to demonstrate the following:
- Mid-market Private Equity Investment experience - c.4 - 5 years minimum ideally
- Experience in leading investments (£10m+) into high-growth SME businesses
- Strong background in driving growth through buy & build / acquisitions
- Professionally qualified (ACA or CFA), strong academic background
- A strong desire to work within mid-market Private Equity and to be instrumental in the growth and success of entrepreneurial SME businesses operating within exciting, high-growth sectors
