Presales Consultant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Presales Consultant to join and contribute to the growth of an established British software technology SME. They specialise in innovative data, document, file, and record discovery, analytics, and management software, including advanced Content Analytics R&D. This role is customer-facing and requires a blend of technical expertise and sales acumen.
Day to Day of the role:
- Engage with new and existing customers to provide pre-sales technical guidance and support the sales cycle from initial contact to solution demonstration and ‘Go-Live'.
- Collaborate with internal commercial and technical team members to understand customer requirements and issues, formulating appropriate responses and solutions.
- Participate in the sales lead generation process, delivering highly qualified sales opportunities.
- Conduct hands-on software demonstrations, support, and requirements analysis, potentially incorporating project management skills.
- Provide technical evaluation and guidance in pre-sales situations, offering technical sales support through to ‘Go-Live'.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Technically competent in the Windows technology stack.
- Proven experience in software demonstration, support, and requirements analysis.
- Project management skills are desirable.
- Strong logical, data manipulation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Microsoft .Net, IIS, Windows Servers, and Microsoft Active Directory.
- General SQL experience, including DB Admin functions.
- Knowledge of Prince2 and ITIL would be beneficial.
- 3+ years' experience in software solutions pre-sales support.
- Background in Document Management software is advantageous.
