The Security Specialist will be at the forefront of securing the technical environment, ensuring the integrity of our systems and data. This role reports to the IT Infrastructure Manager, with the support of external SOC. West Yorkshire based and you will be expected to work in office for 2 days per week in average.

Description
- Implement and maintain security measures across the organisation's technical infrastructure
- Conduct regular system tests to ensure the ongoing security of data
- Collaborate with the external SOC and the wider ICT team to strengthen overall system security
- Manage incident responses, taking immediate action where necessary
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in IT security
- Assist in the development of security protocols and procedures
- Conduct training and provide advice to staff on cybersecurity practices
- Report regularly on the status of system security
Profile
- A successful ICT Infrastructure - Security Specialist should have:
- A relevant degree or certification in Information Technology or a related field
- A solid understanding of IT systems and security measures
- Experience in security tools like SIEM, EDR
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical staff
