Procurement Director

This is an exceptional opportunity for a Procurement Director to join a genuinely dynamic and rapidly growing global company, who are dedicated to revolutionising the IT solutions & cloud computing industry. You will play a key part in their mission to drive operational excellence and deliver high-value solutions across their global operations.

We are looking for a strategic, hands-on leader who can elevate the procurement function through the maturation of its processes, frameworks and operational practice, and to manage its global supply chain efficiently by taking advantage of opportunities for efficiencies and automation.

Your key responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy that supports all global operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement and logistics processes, enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving service levels.

Procurement Management:

  • Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management.
  • Develop and instil standardised frameworks for supplier selection, supplier contracts, RFQs an other key processes
  • Ensure the procurement of high-quality materials and services at the best possible cost.

Logistics Management:

  • Optimise global logistics operations, including warehousing, distribution, and transportation.
  • work with global suppliers and manage the logistics of moving high quality goods to various global locations

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement and logistics team.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the department.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the procurement and logistics budget, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency.
  • Conduct regular financial/data analysis to identify efficiencies and other cost-saving opportunities.

Compliance and Sustainability:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in procurement and logistics operations.
  • Promote sustainable procurement and logistics practices in line with our corporate social responsibility goals.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 10-15 years of experience in procurement and logistics, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Broad generalist indirect category exposure
  • Experience working for a scale-up business and adept at working with ambiguity/change
  • Expertise in procurement within the cloud, computing, real estate development or construction-related industries.
  • Proven success in developing and executing procurement and logistics strategies.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management and supplier relationship management.
  • In-depth knowledge of global supply chain dynamics and logistics best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with procurement and logistics software and technology solutions.
