About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for defining the future roadmap for all networking and connectivity technologies. This role is pivotal in delivering the digital vision for the area, including borough-wide sensor networks, public WiFi, and enabling a digitized cultural offering.
The primary focus of this role is to be the subject matter expert across LAN, WAN, and firewall technologies. The role involves managing a team of network engineers who maintain an existing estate of around 150 buildings, 300 switches, and 300 access points along with all fixed and wireless connections.
Office Location
This is a full time position based out of Newcastle Upon Tyne with a Hybrid option.
