Public Affairs and PR AD - Associate Account Director Manc/ Hybrid

My client is a highly regarded PR and Public Affairs consultancy, who has exciting expansion plans for their Manchester office. As such they are looking to speak to Public Affair and PR Account Directors and Associate Account Directors.

They offer services in PR, planning communications, public affairs, social media, branding and design to clients within property, place making, net zero, regeneration, energy and infrastructure sectors.

The ideal candidate will be already working in a public affairs/PR agency role and will be looking for a role where they can truly make a difference and be an integral part of the agency's growth and development.

You will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of projects, taking ownership of creating and driving campaigns, ensuring excellent service and added value for clients.

A hands-on role, you will be responsible for setting strategies and ensuring delivery, hitting timescales and deadlines, as well as meeting quality standards and client objectives.

With strong commercial acumen you will be responsible for ensuring the profitability of accounts and undertaking both budgeting and invoicing.

You will play a key role in new business and marketing, representing the company to external audiences.

You will play a key role in developing and mentoring junior team members to realise their full potential.

Whilst the role will cover both planning communications and PR they are ideally looking for someone with an understanding of consenting processes including TCPA and DCO regimes, a strong track record in effectively engaging stakeholders and a thorough understanding of political structures at local, regional and national levels.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering creative strategies to meet client objectives
  • Directing delivery across client accounts and developing excellent client relationships
  • Monitoring profitability and undertaking both budgeting and invoicing for accounts
  • Attending management meetings and contributing towards the delivery of company growth strategy and marketing plan
  • Keeping abreast of key sector and industry trends and identifying key impacts and opportunities
  • Line management responsibility, staff development, appraisals and recruitment
  • Build existing network of contacts, identify new business leads, write proposals and attend pitches
