Welder & Fabricator - MIG & TIG
Our client is a prominent provider of metal fabrication services, specialising in the supply and installation of metal railings, staircases, balustrades, bespoke sheet, and architectural metalwork.
We are seeking a skilled MIG & TIG Welder & Fabricator to join their dynamic team. This role requires a proficient individual in both MIG and TIG welding techniques, with a focus on producing high-quality work in a workshop setting, as well as on-site installations across various locations.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of welding and fabrication techniques, ensuring all work meets the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG and TIG welding tasks as per project requirements.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and plans to fabricate metal constructions accurately.
- Utilise a variety of tools and equipment to cut, form, and assemble metal products.
- Inspect and test welds and structures to meet company and regulatory standards.
- Ensure all fabrications meet structural and aesthetic standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Occasionally perform on-site installations and repairs which may require travel.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely project completion.
Skill & Qualifications Required:
- Proven experience as a Welder & Fabricator, with specific skills in MIG and TIG welding.
- Vocational training or certifications in welding, metal fabrication, or a related field.
- Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable, dependable team player with physical ability to handle heavy materials and stand for prolonged periods.
- Familiarity with ARC welding is highly desirable
- Possession of a CSCS card is also preferred for on-site work.
Summary:
Position: Welder & Fabricator - MIG & TIG
Location: Stevenage - SG1
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
Hours: Full-Time Monday - Thursday
Overtime: Overtime available and paid at x1.5 the rate.
Start: Notice Dependant
The successful candidate must be fully eligible to live and work in the UK without restrictions.
