I am seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Category Manager to join a highly reputable organisation in Reading within the Defence Industry on an 18 month contract with hybrid working.
As Lead Category Manager opportunity within the Defence Industry in Reading, you will be responsible for task managing and developing sourcing strategies for three major programmes and your expertise will ensure we identify the right commercial products and effectively manage the commercial chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and guide the team to ensure successful completion of tasks.
- Develop comprehensive sourcing strategies
- Determine the most suitable commercial products for procurement.
- Oversee the infrastructure supporting the sourcing strategies.
- Work closely with the procurement team to ensure alignment and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Must be a British Citizen
- Must have resided in the UK for the past five years for Security Clearance (SC), and ten years for Developed Vetting (DV)
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in developing and managing sourcing strategies
- Strong task management and team leadership skills
- Experience working with procurement teams and managing infrastructure
- Effective people management and communication skills
- Experience in Defence or similar industries
