This Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant role is to support a child with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), on a 1:1 basis. Knowledge of ADHD is a must, and the role would be ideal for a psychology graduate who is looking to go into educational or clinical psychology.

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a condition that affects people's behaviour. People with ADHD can seem restless, may have trouble concentrating and may act on impulse

The school is situated in the Ward of Selly Oak. Although it is a mainstream school, it has a high proportion of students with special educational needs (higher than the national average).
