About the Role
- Detailed description of the primary focus of the role: conducting site visits and creating detailed manufacturing drawings.

- Producing like-for-like equipment drawings.
- Detailed piping and steelwork designs.
- Developing new concepts.
- Importance of collaboration with the CAD department, site installation team, and workshop engineering department.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Creating detailed manufacturing drawings, including general arrangements, part drawings, developments, and templates.
- Producing piping and steelwork fabrication drawings in the form of isometrics, general arrangements, and orthographics.
- Adhering to P&IDs when designing pipework drawings.
- Reviewing and checking detailed design drawings of piping systems, supports, and steelwork in accordance with industry standards, codes, and client specifications.
- Surveying and producing design drawings for equipment replacements and modifications.
- Preparing and checking bills of materials.
- Providing technical input during detailed engineering of projects.
- Supporting the preparation of manufacturing work packs.

Skills and Experience
- Extensive knowledge of piping design and calculations.
- Time-served Pipefitter or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with ASME & BS EN standards.
- Proficiency in understanding petrochemical piping specifications with a strong emphasis on site surveys.
- Competence in using AutoCAD drawing software is advantageous but not essential.
- Solid experience in piping and steelwork within highly regulated industries such as Oil, Gas, Petrochemical, and cryogenics.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Computer literate.
- Strong understanding and experience of safe working practices.
