Sheffield City Council is looking for a dedicated Homemaker to join our team. This role involves delivering a high-quality housing function to service users in Temporary Accommodation and Furnished Accommodation tenants. Day-to-day of the role:
- Providing excellent customer care to service users.
- Cleaning properties to an agreed standard, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment.
- Delivering and fitting furniture citywide, including curtains, poles, tracks, and blinds.
- Conducting gardening tasks to maintain outdoor spaces.
- Managing stock and handling abandoned furniture.
- Recycling, sanitising, and cleaning pre-used goods, including upholstery and carpets.
- Assisting in the safe management of goods in and out of the warehouse.
- Upholding health and safety procedures within the workplace.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in cleaning properties or industrial spaces.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and stocktaking.
- Experience as a driver's mate is advantageous.
- Ability to drive various vehicles, including up to a 7.5-tonne limit (desirable but not essential).
