- Up to £55,000 per annum + benefits
- In-office requirements (Mon-Fri)
- Finish at 1pm Fridays

My client is a global, highly reputable company who specialise in distributing bespoke Automation Solutions. They work on a diverse range of projects and are considered market leaders in their field.
The Senior Software Engineer role:
- The ability to design Software and systems to specification, cost and time targets.
- You will be responsible for working alongside the Electrical and Mechanical teams to integrate all disciplines into the design.
- Collaborating with the Production Engineers to ensure products are designed for manufacturing.
- A track record of carrying out unit tests at all phases of the Development cycle.
- You will be accountable for contributing to design standard compliance including CE / UK CA approvals.
- Provide progress of all projects to The Engineering and Project Management teams.
- Ability to problem solve in both legacy and new special purpose machines.
Senior Software Engineer - Essential Skills:
- Strong proficiency in C#, .Net, VB.Net and SQL.
- Proven track record in writing software drivers for hardware devices.
- Minimum of 6+ years' experience in Software Development.
- Deep understanding of communication protocols (TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC UA, RS232).
- Previous exposure with debugging machines (electrical, mechanical and software).
- Experienced with GIT.
- The ability to write clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
