We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Manager to join our Adult Social Services team. As a Team Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing a dedicated team of social workers, support staff, and professionals to deliver high-quality care and support to vulnerable adults within the Southwark community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide effective leadership, guidance, and supervision to a team of social workers and support staff.
- Manage and oversee the allocation of cases, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions for service users.
- Monitor key performance indicators and targets, providing regular feedback, support, and coaching to optimise individual and team effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to service delivery.
- Maintain a strong understanding of legislative frameworks and policies to ensure compliance and best practice.
Requirements:
- A recognised social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
- Substantial experience in adult social work, with a proven track record in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with service users, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and keeping abreast of changes in social care practices and policies.
