Our client, a family-run business who are commited to British craftsmanship and exquisitely designed and engineered products is seeking a motivated and experienced Reliability Engineer for their manufacturing site in Coventry. This role is ideal for a Reliability Engineer looking to elevate their career.

Join our client in a diverse, hands-on role, focussing on taking ownership and ensuring that the business's equipment and processes operate at optimal levels and meet the needs of the organization. Their main goal is to increase equipment uptime, reliability, and efficiency to achieve the OEE and delivery requirements of the business.

Key Responsibilities for The Reliability Engineer

  • Analysing equipment failure data to identify patterns and trends.
  • Data analysis of breakdowns to prioritise workload and implementing preventative tasks/escalate projects required.
  • Conducting Root Cause Analysis to determine underlying cause of problems.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve machine performance and driving improvement projects to completion.
  • Developing and implementing new maintenance procedures
  • Designing and implementing new procedures for monitoring and testing equipment.
  • Finding and implementing new technologies that can improve equipment performance and reliability.
  • Developing and delivering training programmes for the maintenance team.
  • Collaborating with other parts of the business to ensure reliability is integrated into all aspects of the organisation.
  • Collate data for and report of OEE.
  • Review, audit and update TPM task`s as required.
  • Promote and ensure safe working practices are always adopted.
  • Ensure a very high standard of housekeeping is set and maintained.
  • Creation and modification of Work Instructions and Risk Assessments and FMEAs
  • Supporting Production in product changes and improvements
  • Supervision of contractors and activities as required.
  • Manage permit to work process and issuing of other permits as required.

People Requirements

  • Safety-conscious: the ability to identify potential hazards and take the necessary steps to mitigate them.
  • Minimum 5 years' hands on experience in a reliability-based role.
  • Must be analytical in thinking and data driven when making decisions.
  • Must have a technical aptitude shown through experience in maintenance related roles.
  • Must be confident with data analysis from a variety of streams.
  • Experienced in Condition Based Monitoring, Predictive Maintenance, Reliability Centred Maintenance, and Risk Based Techniques.
  • Will be a good problem solver familiar with standard problem-solving techniques, i.e. 5 Why, PPS, 8D, Six Panel, FMEA or equivalent.
