Civilian Investigator

We are recruiting for experienced former police detectives to support a major investigation working out of Gravesend, Kent.

Ideal candidates will be experienced UK police detectives with PIP 2 accreditation and be willing to conduct Outside Enquires in the Hampshire area or other locations.

These roles are hybrid with some working from home, remote working with some attendance at North Kent Police Station.

Key Responsibilities

The work involves the planning/preparation and obtaining of complex witness testimony from key witnesses and experience of involvement in complex Major Crime operations would be advantageous.

You may be required to work across other teams (suspect interview/case management), should there be an investigative requirement.

Key skills

  • Professionalising Investigation Programme level 2 (PIP2) or equivalent, with recent experience of investigating serious crime.
  • Recent experience of conducting investigative interviews ideally within the last 12 months.
  • Previous experience of working in Major Incident Room / HOLMES environment would be advantageous.

This is temporary role is for an initial 12 months with genuine potential to be extended, working full-time paying between £20.91 per hour PAYE or £26.16 per hour Umbrella. Applications for flexible working such as compressed hours are welcomed.
