Our First Response Team operates at the front door with a robust assessment function to assess the needs of the children and families of Harrow. You'll become part of a highly experienced team who work under the evidence based model towards improving the outcomes for children and young people.
As a team of experienced Managers and Social Workers, you will be closely supported by Morning Lane Associates working under a systemic family therapy model to ensure we meet the needs of children and families. Furthermore, you'll be in the right place to see first-hand at least 2 of the exciting workplace initiatives Harrow's involved with, and benefit from a £1m investment in technology to support our front line workers.
What you will bring:
- A proven track record, experience of working and managing a caseload of child in need, child protection and assessing complex children and young people's needs in Children's Services.
- Social Work qualification e.g. Dip SW, BA (Hons) and/or Masters in Social Work.
- Registration with Social Work England (SWE).
- Enthusiastic to work within a team and independently with a manageable caseload and a good level of opportunities for career progression and training.
- Demonstrate an ability to build high quality relationships with children and families, and across Children's Services with internal and external partners.
- Managing a caseload of children in need and child protection.
- Chairing professional meetings and managing plans.
- Conducting S47 risk assessments jointly with partner agencies.
- Presenting cases to child protection conferences.
- Completing Single Assessments within timescales.
