Our client, an established leader in the manufacturing sector, is currently seeking a diligent and technically proficient Mechatronic Electronic Technician to join their vibrant team in Poole, Dorset. This is a permanent role suited for individuals passionate about assembly, mechanical systems, and high-quality engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assembly and commissioning of electromechanical products, focussing on electrical and electronic aspects
- Testing and quality control of assemblies
- Documentation of assemblies and quality control processes
- Assembly of cables and configuration of electronic hardware and modules
- Calibrating, commissioning, and testing equipment
- Continuous collaboration with the team to approach problem-solving with an open mind
Job Requirements:
- Relevant HNC or equivalent qualification, or significant relevant experience
- Proficiency in soldering wires and electronic components
- Experience working with single, three phase, and low voltage systems
- Strong logical fault-finding skills
- Safe use of handheld and power tools
- Ability to read electrical and electronic schematics
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
- Capability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Desire for continuous learning and improvement
- IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office products
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Eligibility to work in the UK
Preferred Prerequisites:
- Experience with electrical and electronic software (SolidWorks, ACAD, Visual Studio, Can, Arduino)
- Industrial servo experience
- Panel building experience
- Microcontroller programming experience
- Knowledge of 18th edition wiring regulations
- Experience with serial devices
- Valid passport
- Full UK driving licence
