Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Solution Designer & Architect to deliver a high-availability telephony solution through the design, configuration, and build of a Windows kiosk workstation setup. You will work with around 30 devices joined to a domain within a secure VLAN environment, with minimal external connectivity. This is a fast-paced role, requiring you to take full ownership of the design, build, and governance processes, ensuring the solution aligns with both technical and security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design & Build: Design, configure, and implement a kiosk-based Windows 11 desktop solution as per the provided solution brief.
  • Technology Leadership: Lead the development and deployment of this kiosk solution using Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Intune, and Windows 11 technologies.
  • Application Deployment & Configuration: Ensure the proper deployment and integration of essential applications, including Microsoft Defender, Palo Alto XDR, TMC Telephony Client, touchscreen and phone handset drivers, and other necessary IT service management tools.
  • Networking & Security: Manage the network configuration, enabling necessary communication with remote site services and management systems, ensuring security benchmarks (CIS Level 1) are met.
  • Testing & Governance: Own the full end-to-end testing and governance of the solution, ensuring compliance with all standards and protocols.

Required Skills & Expertise:

  • Microsoft Entra (Azure AD): Expertise in cloud identity and access management.
  • Microsoft Intune: Advanced skills in deploying, configuring, and managing devices.
  • Microsoft Windows 11: Experience in configuring, locking down, and managing Windows 11 desktop environments.
  • Security & Compliance: Familiarity with CIS Level 1 benchmarks and security best practices.
  • Telephony & Device Integration: Knowledge of integrating telephony systems and device drivers (touchscreen, phone handsets).
  • Scripting & Automation: Experience with scripting to manage telephony and other system operations.
  • Networking & VLANs: Understanding of VLAN configurations and managing minimal external connectivity.
  • Service Management Tools: Experience with management agents like SNOW Atlas, TeamViewer, etc.
