Mixxos are recruiting for a unique opportunity with our client who are based in Silsoe, Central Bedfordshire. The role is brand new to the business and you will maintain the operational availability of all computer-related equipment and IT resources.
Our client is looking for someone to take on most of the IT related queries from internal staff, and to be part of automating processes and systems in the future.
Key Responsibilities for a Junior Systems Developer:
- Develop and design end-to-end Power BI solutions, including data acquisition, transformation, data modelling, and report/dashboard creation, to meet business requirements.
- Automate internal processes by designing and implementing workflows in current Job Management systems, using Power Automate or similar tools.
- Data analysis from all and production of reports through either Power BI, Snowflake, and or standard reporting.
- Collaborating within the Commercial Director to design and implement new software, automation and cost saving solutions using existing CRM, Job Management and Accounts programmes.
- Maintain the operational availability of all computer-related equipment and IT resources including laptops, desktops, printers, servers, data communication equipment, network infrastructure, telephone equipment.
- Responsible for setting up, installing, operating, testing and troubleshooting all IT equipment.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (physical checks, OS and software updates and patches, etc.) for all relevant IT Assets to ensure minimum downtime
- Provide technical support and assistance during normal working hours and outside of normal business hours as required, including, but not limited to Saturday and Sundays.
Key Skills for a Junior Systems Developer:
- Some development/coding experience and/or development of applications in a low-/no-code environment
- Experience with RESTful APIs and web services
- Excellent skills and knowledge with Microsoft applications, Excel / Word / Power BI / Power point and more
- Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware and software systems.
- Advanced Excel Skills (e.g. Power Query, VBA Macros etc.)
- Extensive experience with computer hardware, printers, smartphones and audio-visual communications equipment
- Desire to self-train and work on an additional training would be a positive trait for this role
