As a Finance Business Manager you will take an active lead in financial planning and identifying income generation activities. This is a really exciting time to join an established and growing education organisation.

My client are a multi-academy trust based in West Yorkshire.

Description

As a Finance Business Manager you will:

  • Collaborate with service users to deliver high-quality advice, guidance, and support.
  • Oversee financial management for assigned schools, aiming to maximise income generation and assist with grant applications.
  • Maintain oversight of personnel, facilities, ICT, and health and safety matters.
  • Work closely with academy and Trust leadership to support the Trust's strategic plan and the school's development plan.

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

  • A good level of education, such as 5 GCSEs at grades A-C (5-9) or equivalent, including Maths and English.
  • SBM or Accountancy qualification, or comparable experience in an educational business environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and budgeting processes.
  • Proven experience in delivering excellent customer service.
  • Proficiency with computerised financial systems.
  • Previous experience working within an educational setting.
  • Familiarity with basic financial procedures, policies, and accounting code structures.
  • Advanced IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Experience in data production, analysis, reporting, and presentation.
  • Valid driver's license, access to a vehicle, and willingness to travel to across school's in West Yorkshire.
