Position Overview:

As a Compliance Assistant, you will provide crucial support to the compliance team, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to the compliance field and develop valuable skills for a successful career in the insurance industry.

General Skills required:

  • Ability to manage time effectively by prioritising own workload to ensure deadlines are adhered and planning ahead accordingly
  • Able to construct effective and accurate written communications including letters, faxes, emails and reports
  • Build and manage internal and external relationships utilising negotiation, initiative and influencing skills
  • Be able to apply own judgement and experience when making decisions or referring the decision to the appropriate person when it falls outside own role, authority, knowledge and experience
  • Highly organised with the ability to meet the demands of both internal and external 'customers,' understand their needs and act promptly in response to requests and keep 'customers' regularly updated
  • Ability to solve problems promptly and efficiently
  • Able to analyse data and reach conclusions, including management information
  • Able to keep accurate records in an efficient manner in accordance with internal policies and procedures
  • Ability to provide a high level or service, meeting business standards and Agency targets ensuring attention to detail

IT Skills:

  • Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Accurate keyboard and data input skills
