Our client is an industry leading Asbestos Consultancy with a national presence, providing the full range of asbestos management services. They are now seeking to take on an Asbestos Surveyor. You will be carrying out surveying services on Healthcare, Local Authority, Commercial and Industrial sites, ensuring work is carried out in line with HSG 264 guidelines. Due to the nature of the role and contracts, consideration would be given to candidates who have experience carrying out analytical services, holding the BOHS P403, P404 qualifications. Consideration will be given to candidates from: Huntingdon, Wellingborough, Northampton, Bedford, Bishop's Stortford, Stevenage, Luton, Aylesbury, Hemel Hempstead, Milton Keynes, Brakcley, Bletchley, Watford, Slough, Oxford, High Wycombe, Reading, Windsor, Harlow, Cheshunt.
Experience & Qualifications:
" Holding the BOHS P402 or RSPH equivalent is essential to the role.
" Holding the BOHS P403, P404 qualifications would be beneficial to the role.
" Will have experience working for a UKAS Accredited Asbestos Consultancy.
" Fully versed in HSG 264 guidelines.
" Excellent communication skills.
" Able to work well in a demanding environment.
" Familiar using TEAMS / TRACKER systems.
The Role:
" Carrying out management, refurbishment, and demolition surveys.
" Sampling materials that are suspected to have asbestos.
" Bagging and labelling samples correctly, sending to the laboratory for analysis.
" Working in line with HSG 264 guidelines.
" Undertaking re-inspection surveys upon completion of work.
" Producing comprehensive reports based on site findings using TEAMS / TRACKER systems.
If P403, P404 is held:
" 4 stage clearances
" Leak, smoke, background, re-occupation, and personal air testing.
" Conducting audits on site.
" Producing certificates of re-occupation.
" Conducting visual re-inspections upon completion of work.
" Working in line with HSG 248 guidelines.
