Job Title: Operational and Strategic Advisory Manager

Salary: £43,000 - £55,000

An excellent opportunity to join a well renowned Financial Services company as an Operational Strategic Advisory Manager.

The role will involve engaging with senior stakeholders and influencing decision making. You will also provide a support service to the business on operational and strategic risk matters in accordance with the enterprise-wide risk management framework.

Responsibilities:

  • Playing a key role in ensuring Insurance & Money Services has a robust risk and control environment, which is aligned to the Risk Management Framework and is embedded across the business
  • Working alongside assurance and oversight colleagues as part of the broader Conduct & Controls team and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders from across the business
  • Providing technical expertise to support the Value Stream and CoEs with the management of risks, controls, issues, and events
  • Facilitating the half-yearly Risk & Control Self-Assessment attestation exercise across Insurance & Money Services
  • Analysing risk data to provide insight and identify opportunities to simplify and add value
  • Coordinating the production of the pack for the Protect Risk Forum
  • Planning and prioritising work to meet commitments and foreseeing and resolving potential bottlenecks and delays
  • Engaging in local risk, providing credible risk opinion and expert knowledge of the Risk Management Framework

Required Skills:

  • Considerable experience working with Risk Management Frameworks and undertaking risk and control self-assessment
  • Confident communicator with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels, building trust and gaining commitment through integrity, cooperation, and flexibility
  • Ability to translate risk opinion into measurable and timely actions
  • Initiative-taking mindset with excellent planning and time management skills
