Occupational Health and Safety Co-Ordinator

Your Role:

We are seeking a passionate Occupational Health and Safety Co-Ordinator who can demonstrate flexible, innovative, and diverse thinking, the role includes but not exhaustive:

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare & review construction phase plans and method statements.
  • Undertake/review risk assessments
  • Provide administrative support.
  • Working under direction to deliver the duties of a Principal Contractor.
  • Deliver various H&S services to ensure compliance on construction projects.
  • Ensure that pre-construction information is readily available for each project and is kept up to date.
  • Assist with preparation of health & safety files, RAMS for ATL works where required.
  • Perform data entry, documentation, printing and general filing duties.
  • Strong record keeping skills

What you'll have:

  • Solid experience working in an administrative role.
  • The ability to work effectively with staff throughout the organisation regardless of seniority or background.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.

  • Effective minute taking skills.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Some experience of working within health and safety.
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment legislation.
  • Ability to deliver to deadlines.
  • Team player, but equally comfortable working on an individual basis.
  • Good communication skills both oral and written.
  • Good practical knowledge of Microsoft 365 software, including Excel, Word & Powerpoint plus SharePoint and Teams.

What you will be working towards:

  • IOSH Managing Safely (upon successful completion of probationary period)
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (within 12 months, subject to progression)
  • CPD training courses (ongoing)
  • TechIOSH – Technical membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health

  • Onsite role with opportunity for hybrid work pattern following successful completion of probationary period. Note: this role cannot be performed 100% remotely.

Please note the role is permanent after 3 month probation

Working hours are Monday - Friday 09:00-17:00.

Starting Salary: £22,308.00
