Robert Half Finance are recruiting a new role of Financial Accountant for a rapidly growing international retail business based in the Northwest. This unique and varied role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to work in a stable and ever-growing business whilst working with some of the best financial and accounting professionals in the Northwest.
The Role
Reporting into the Group functions, the Financial Accountant will play a crucial role in the financial accounting and reporting activities of the organization.
Further duties and responsibilities of the Financial Accountant will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop the group-level balance sheet reconciliations, including but not limited to external borrowings, and ensure their accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in the production of the monthly Group consolidation, working closely with other finance team members to gather and validate financial information.
- Support the management of the annual audit process, including preparing audit schedules, liaising with auditors, and addressing audit queries.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting processes.

Experience & Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Experience in group accounting function
- Technically strong and knowledge of IFRS
- Experience in preparing financial statements
- Experience with consolidation
Salary & Benefits
In return, the successful Financial Accountant will receive the following:
Indicative renumeration:
- Base starting salary: £48,000 to £57,000 (DOE)
- Discretionary annual bonus plan
