Finance Manager

We're seeking a skilled finance professional to provide vital support to our commercial team. This role involves delivering meaningful information, insightful analysis, and strong financial guidance to drive effective decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Decision-Making: Deliver quality analysis, insights, and advice to the commercial team to aid in evaluating customer terms proposals, reviewing promotions performance, and ensuring compliance with company controls.
  • Financial Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and robustness of reported revenue and profitability. This includes regular review and agreement of accrual rates for the customers you'll be supporting.
  • Influence Commercial Outcomes: Build strong relationships with the commercial team to improve revenue and profitability through proactive financial input and challenge.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Take a lead role in the revenue budgeting and forecasting process, supporting the sales team's commitment to numbers, coordinating accurate revenue forecasts, and providing summary reporting for business updates.
  • Process Improvement: Drive enhancements in finance processes and reporting capabilities.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualifications: CIMA or equivalent accountancy qualification with evidence of continued professional development.
  • Experience: Post-qualification experience in commercial finance, ideally within an FMCG environment.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to clearly communicate findings to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and influence relationships across various departments.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to articulate complex information persuasively.
  • Time Management: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills; SAP experience is a plus.
