A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join an incredible SME company at a point of huge growth. This well-established client has operating for over 30 years, and is an industry leader in their field. Due to ongoing expansion and investment, they are now looking to add an Assistant Accountant to join their Wolverhampton Based Head Office.

Join our dynamic business during an exciting time as we integrate operations across key locations in Europe. We are seeking a Corporate Accountant to help ensure the implementation of processes and policies, drive accounting integration projects, and execute Corporate Accounting activities in a multinational environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Ensure financials are closed monthly by Day 5 with appropriate accruals and related cut-offs.
  • Provide insightful analysis of EMEA financial results in support of the Finance Manager and EMEA Business Leaders.
  • Coordinate activities with external auditors and cover support for other accounting functions.
  • Involved in ad hoc business projects, particularly those related to cost savings and efficiency.
  • Assist with general accounting transactions ensuring compliance with Global Accounting Policies and local Accounting Standards.
  • Handle supplier payments, VAT returns, payroll, bank reconciliations, and provide holiday cover for credit control.
  • Key contributor in the preparation of compliance audits and assist in other annual audits.
  • Prepare the company's financial statements and maintain accurate account documents.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience and proficiency in using ERP systems, particularly SAP and Business Central.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience processing in multi-currency environments.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and organisation.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and research.
  • Previous experience in management accounts.
  • ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent (part or fully qualified) or QBE.
