Rate: £35.47 Umbrella PAYE to £40.45 Umbrella PAYE
Pertemps is offering an exciting opportunity for a self-driven and motivated Resilience Manager to join our expanding team. The role comes with a competitive pay rate ranging from £35.47 (Umbrella PAYE) to £40.45 (Umbrella PAYE) per hour. Main Responsibilities:
" Ensure the council's preparedness for emergencies in accordance with the Civil Contingencies Act 2004.
" Establish departmental planning arrangements and identify lead staff for emergency planning and business continuity.
" Provide professional Safety Services advice to senior management.
" Align team work with the Corporate Plan, legal requirements, and customer needs.
" Manage the team budget effectively.
" Collaborate with the London Resilience Local Authorities Panel (LAARG) and relevant government departments.
" Participate in the Council's 24/7 emergency duty system.
About the Successful Candidate:
" Familiarity with relevant national, regional, and local legislation, frameworks, and policies (e.g., Equalities Act, Civil Contingencies Act 2004).
" Specific expertise in community safety practices and the Council's role in this area.
" Exemplary leadership and management abilities.
" Motivation and team-building skills to create a supportive organizational culture.
" Understanding of community demographics in Harrow.
" Strategies for effectively engaging with diverse community groups.
" Experience working with large budgets.
" Ability to collaborate with senior colleagues across different levels and partnerships.
" Resilience and inspiring leadership during times of change.
" Confidence in handling challenging conversations and fostering a learning environment.
" Degree-level education or equivalent relevant work experience.
