English Teacher Required for SEND School in Alton

This school is an independent specialist school for boys aged 11-17 years old, who all have Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH). Some may also have other SEND needs such as Autism, ADHD and communication difficulties.
They are looking for an English specialist with experience and/or ability to plan and deliver a curriculum that spans Entry Level, Functional Skills, Key stage 3 and GCSE.
About the role
This is a full-time role in which you will be expected to deliver well-planned lessons and have strong behaviour management.

Within this school, the children require special teachers who are able to manage some complex and challenging behaviours. It is important to know that the children will require lots of attention and support, with the 'right sort of communication, consistency and flexibility in equal measure, and a non-judgemental approach'.
The ideal candidate
- Extensive experience teaching maths at Key Stage 2-4
- QTS (desired but not required)
- Have a contagious enthusiasm for teaching Maths.
- Strong teaching background
- Available for interview and observation
- Committed and proactive in regards to engaging students
- Have experience in SEND settings or a strong desire to work in one.
