We are looking for an experienced Transport Planner for a transport company based in Huddersfield. The role involves the supervision and planning of drivers and contractors across UK and potentially Europe.
This role requires someone with recent transport planning experience and good geographical knowledge of the UK. Excellent communication skills and awareness of transport legislation is also essential.
Main duties to include:
- Supervision of drivers, ensuring deliveries and collections are completed on time
- Liaise with subcontractors
- Planning of workloads and schedules
- Ensure workloads are in line with transport legislation
- Completion of documentation required
We are looking for:
- Experience of working in a Transport Planning role
- Knowledge of driver hours
- Good geographical knowledge
- Organised and has good attention to detail
