Chichester College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Lecturer in Business at our Crawley campus. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £26,451 - £41,247 per annum plus £610 Crawley Weighting Allowance.
The Lecturer in Business role:
We are looking for a Lecturer to join our Business team, to develop and teach on business related programmes which includes teaching across a range of levels and qualifications including BTEC, T Level in Management and Administration and CIPs. Your expertise and enthusiasm will ignite our students' passion for the business sector, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their future careers.
Key Responsibilities of our Lecturer in Business:
- Undertaking teaching and learning related activities, including tutoring, as agreed.
- Ensuring that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner.
- Undertaking administration and provide reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters.
- Taking an active role in the achievement of high individual student retention and success rates, meeting or surpassing the relevant targets for each.
- Developing curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration literacy and numeracy development, and equality and diversity.
- Understanding personal responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding.
- Keeping up-to-date with current issues, changes, and policies relating to the educational sector.
- Participating in marketing activities and promote the College for the purpose of gaining sponsorship, advertising, good public relations and increased recruitment.
- Adopting a proactive approach to participation in appropriate meetings and training, as agreed with the curriculum area.
Our ideal Lecturer in Business should have the below skills and experience:
- Degree or professional qualification in a Business related subject
- Level 2 literacy and numeracy
- Relevant commercial experience
- Working knowledge of Business
- The ability to work alone and as part of a team with interpersonal skills
- Innovative and creative in meeting the needs of learners
